About Health Initiatives for Youth Hamilton
As a non-profit charitable organization we are governed by a voluntary Board of Directors
Scott Reeves has been Chair of the Board of Directors since 2005. He helped direct the Board and the Agency through its transformation from Planned Parenthood Society of Hamilton to Health Initiatives For Youth Hamilton, a name that better reflected the Agency, its services, role in the community and mandate. This also included its relocation across from Sir John A. MacDonald High School at 151 York Boulevard.
A published author, Scott Reeves has been President of Reeves Financial Services Inc. since 1996. Reeves Financial Services is a full service financial services company with its head office in Hamilton and a branch office in Toronto. A multi-year nominee in the Hamilton Spectator as “Best Financial Planner”, Scott is a member of the Social Investment Organization of Canada, the Independent Financial Brokers of Canada, Canadian Institute of Financial Planners and the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to his volunteer role at HIFY Hamilton and his professional life, Scott enjoys memberships in the Hamilton Club, the Laurier Club, Alliance Française, the McMichael Gallery as well as being a member of the Patron Circle of the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
Scott was also the host of radio’s “Your Money Minute” heard three times daily on Hamilton’s News Talk Leader AM900 CHML.
